Hi, I'm Linh!

I’m a founder of Rey, an easy-to-use and powerful no-code tool to create and launch native mobile apps. I believe in a world where the power of software creation is accessible to everyone, not just those with specialized skills or financial resources. With Rey, we're starting with apps for smartphones, the most universal computing devices today.

Globally, billions of us use smartphones, and 88% of our online time is spent in apps, yet the cost and complexity of building mobile apps is still too high for most every day people. Our goal is to simplify the entire app development process, which usually takes months or even years, down to 4 simple steps: select building blocks, choose data source, define logic, and deploy directly to the app stores.

The MVP has been in active development since October 2023. We are now seeing early signs of traction: Rey is in the pilot stage with our first paying customer, and the first app will be live on the app stores in February 2025. 

A bit about me

Employee #3 at Blinkist (a mobile app startup in the Ed-Tech space.) Over 10 years, I’ve helped scale the app from launch to 25 million users. Key accomplishments include:

  • Led major product releases, including revamping information architecture, enhancing Reader and Player experiences, introducing personalized discovery features on the For You page, and launching of new content formats (Guides.)

  • Led the implementation of a server-driven UI framework (Flex), which accelerated development and A/B testing in 80% of the app's architecture.

  • Built the CRM team from scratch and established the technical foundation for cross-channel communications, generating millions in ARR to date.

I have strong expertise in product design & development, but I’m also comfortable jumping into whatever new areas that need attention and learn as I go.

A bit about you

  • You have strong experiences in mobile app development: You’ve built and shipped mobile apps before, either independently or as part of an engineering team. Experience with cross-platform framework like Flutter is a plus.

  • You take pride in your craft: You care deeply about building high-quality, scalable user experiences for a large audience. You think critically about what we’re building and how it impacts our users' lives.

  • You can build and lead a team: You will recruit, coach and develop our engineering team. You know how to create a supportive, empowering and challenging work environment — one where people can do their best work.

  • You’re adaptable and resourceful: You're comfortable tackling different challenges as they come up, and you enjoy learning new things on the fly.
